Imprinted Concrete is one of the most hard-wearing surfaces available for driveways and patios.
During the installation process, the concrete mix is poured in and then large mats with the chosen pattern are pressed into the drying concrete, thereby producing the pattern.
Also, coloured powder is thrown by hand over the area, giving the chosen colour.
The area is then sealed with a solvent-based sealer to give a sleek, clean look and to protect against oil & tyre stains, exhaust smoke and general weathering.

The sealant should last 3 - 5 years, but the surface is no longer protected after this time. In addition, at any time, cracks can occur due to slight movement of the ground. We laways recommend sealing your imprinted concrete every few years to ensure it keeps looking great at all times.
Our Restoration Process involves:

Cleaning the area with a high-powered petrol-engined pressure washer

Making good any cracks with a Repair Compound

Once completely dry, usually 2 - 3 days later, applying two coats of Smartseal™ Imprinted Concrete Sealer. If necessary, a colour tint can be applied with the sealer to bring back lost colour
We would also recommend a low-cost addition to the sealant in the form of an anti-slip additive.
These fine grains produce a surface with more friction than standard.
It's invisible to the naked eye but can be a valuable safety aid as this surface can become slippery when wet.
